A Reddit user under the nickname EzzGod_AI managed to decipher the hidden meaning behind the ranks in Dota 2. It turns out that each rank corresponds to an item in the game.

The player shared their discovery on Reddit, where they published their findings.

The user noted that it took them 6 years of playing to uncover the secret, even though the mystery of Dota 2 itself has been around for 11 years, and no one had previously revealed the hidden meaning behind the ranks. They created a chart that almost perfectly correlates each MMR rank in Dota 2 with an in-game item, from the lowest to the highest.

Many players were surprised by this discovery and wondered why no one had found this correlation before. Others recalled that some items from the ranking were removed from the game, such as Ring Of Aquila, because they had too much impact on match balance.

As a reminder, earlier Team Spirit identified the most overpowered hero in Dota 2, who wins 70% of matches in the support role.
