Valve has released the Quartero's Curios update for Dota 2

Valve, along with patch 7.39d, added the “Quartero’s Curiosities” update to Dota 2, which will allow players to receive free rewards for participating in matches.

“Let me introduce you to Quartero, a not at all roguish character who only wants to sit in the main menu and give you accessories as you play.

The catch is that there is no catch - all this is free, because Dota is already full of triumphant ups and crushing falls.

Just imagine how nice it is with each game to get closer to new content from a new character with a new tragic backstory, which, believe me, he will tell with great pleasure. (Try to shut him up.)

And, of course, "Quartero's Curiosities" are not intended to replace future major events, but, on the contrary, will accompany them.

During periods of calm, Quartero will appear in the main menu more often, and when something large-scale begins, he will happily give up his place"

Judging by the description from the developers, a character will appear in the main menu who will give out rewards to players for participating in Dota 2 matches - regardless of victories or defeats.

It is also noted that the new function will be especially active during periods of calm between patches. However, Valve has not yet revealed what exactly the difference between the rewards will be.

Recall that earlier in the new patch, a neutral may appear, allowing you to finish off an enemy after your death.
