Patch 7.40 may introduce a neutral item that allows you to finish off an enemy even after your own death

In the next major patch 7.40 for Dota 2, a new neutral item called Shadow of Vengeance may appear in the game, which allows you to summon a powerful illusion after the hero's death.

This is evidenced by data from the game files - data miners found a description of the item marked as neutral.

What does Shadow of Vengeance give:

"After death, a strong illusion appears in the hero's place, which can use all basic abilities, deals 100% damage and receives 150% damage. The illusion lasts 30 seconds"

In other words, in one-on-one duels, the item will allow you to take revenge on your opponent and bring the fight to a draw. If the characteristics are not changed, Shadow of Vengeance can dramatically affect the course of teamfights and provide effective protection from ganks.

However, it is still unknown whether Valve will actually implement the item into the game and whether its description will remain unchanged. Interestingly, the item has been in the game since patch 7.33, but it was never released.
