Cheating bug in Dota 2 patch 7.34c: game freeze exploit in team fights

Many players have noted that with the latest update in Dota 2, a bug or intentional exploit has resurfaced, causing the game client to freeze during critical team fights for extended periods. On Reddit, users are reporting that the game simply hangs and becomes unresponsive for quite some time during key team battles.
When the client stabilizes, the team that was already winning the match finds itself in a losing position and respawns at their base. Additionally, there have been reports of a similar bug with client freezing – just before suffering defeat, the enemy team suddenly disconnects entirely, allowing them to avoid losing points.
It is currently uncertain whether this is an intentional hack by cheaters or another patch 7.34c error. Valve has not yet responded to the situation, but it is quite possible that a patch addressing the issue will be released in the near future.
