There's a new top hero in Dota 2 who wins over 62% of matches, and it's not Ringmaster

Storm Spirit has become the top hero in Dota 2, breaking win rate records. In just a few hours after the release of the update featuring Ringmaster, the hero's win rate has increased by over 12%, bringing his overall win rate to 62%.

This is according to data from DotaBuff.

There are two main reasons behind Storm Spirit record-breaking performance. The primary reason is a new bug affecting critical hits and the cost of his ultimate ability. After the update, his ultimate now costs significantly less mana, allowing players to spam it in matchmaking.

Additionally, Storm Spirit has emerged as the best counter-pick against Ringmaster. Players have been choosing him in matchups against the new hero, and he has already proven his effectiveness in Dota 2 matchmaking. However, his sharp increase in win rate might soon be curbed, as Valve is expected to release a hotfix to address the bugs with critical hits and Storm Spirit ultimate.

For now, though, Storm Spirit leads the rankings of the best heroes, even surpassing the newly released Ringmaster, who is currently appearing in almost every matchmaking game in Dota 2.
