Dota 2 might get an underground part of the map: what dataminers found

In the Dota 2 files, a new version of the map was found, where mysterious doors were added on the river, which, may lead to an underground zone

This finding was shared by Mark “sikle” Lerman, analyst of Team Spirit, in his Telegram channel

“About dota_keen. Through SourceViewer you can open the map layout (world.vwrld_c). Basically its the current dota map. But at least one difference I found. On the main river appeared an object models/props_keen/keen_door_01.vmdl”

The analyst still doesn’t know what the object is for, but fans already started making theories. Many believe that the developers might add an underground part of the map. On Reddit this idea was suggested long ago, noting a similar map design in another MOBA – Heroes of the Storm

If the theories are true, it’s possible that the map will expand by around a third of its current size, in the form of a dungeon or caves. However, there have been no official comments or announcements from Valve so far
