Dota 2 Frostivus: when will it begin and event rewards

Developers of Dota 2 have announced that a festive event dedicated to Christmas will soon begin in the game. The corresponding announcement appeared on the developer's blog. In this article, we will explore when to expect the start of the event, possible rewards, and what needs to be done to acquire new cosmetic items.

When Will Frostivus Begin?

An official date for the announcement has not been provided yet, but judging by the Christmas theme of the event, it is likely to start closer to the end of December. In 2019, Frostivus began on the night of December 18-19, so it's possible that the date will remain similar in 2023.

Frostivus Holiday Battle Pass

Although developers do not disclose details, during the previous Frostivus event in Dota 2, a festive Battle Pass was introduced. It was free and available to all players, consisting of only 20 levels. To progress through the reward line, players needed to play regular, non-ranked matches.

Frostivus Rewards

It is currently unknown what surprises developers have prepared for players, but they will likely be similar to the gifts from previous events that could be obtained as rewards for Battle Pass levels.

It may contain sets for Ancient Apparition, Death Prophet, Treant Protector, Bane, Alchemist, Leshrac, Sven, Dark Willow, and Mirana, a rare set for Ursa, and an incredibly rare set for Tiny.

Additionally, lucky players in the Wheel of Fortune could receive a festive gingerbread Baby Roshan courier.
