Danil “donk” Kryshkovets believes that replacing Train with Anubis was the right decision and positively оценил the changes, noting that matches will now feel completely different.

The Team Spirit rifler shared his thoughts in a new video on the club’s YouTube channel.

“I think Anubis is 100% better than Train. In my opinion, it’s a good update. At first, the first official matches played on the new Anubis had broken mechanics. I mean, you could climb to the windows from the water. When you got there, basically, you could peek the doors and see the whole rotation. Now, with the addition of the window, the timings have been evened out. And also the fact that T side has to use an extra smoke so their water control doesn’t get taken away. But even that doesn’t always help”

Donk noted that at first he was unhappy with the broken mechanics, but now the situation has stabilized. According to him, on the new Anubis rounds will be played slower, and the players’ economy will change.

“The map will be played slower, rounds will end later. The attacking side will also have fewer grenades. Because of that, the issue with A and B sites being small is balanced out, since you spend a Molotov at the start of the round, you spend one to take mid. By the end of the round, you don’t have many Molotovs left”

He also pointed out that it has become harder for players to play on T side, especially at the start, so the map is still not fully balanced.

“Basically, the main problem on Anubis was that people just throw 2–3 Molotovs at you, and you have no position on the site, nowhere to stand. I think that losing a Molotov at the start is not a problem. Even though they added a window to throw grenades, you just don’t have enough grenades. The box on A is very comfortable. It’s a balanced update for both CT and T. People always play maps badly at the beginning. Now they fall into the water like orcs, and nobody knows how to retake for T side, no one understands what to do”

It is worth noting that at first Anubis’ return to the map pool caused backlash from players, but in the end the reworked map was liked by the pros, and the changes helped refresh the gameplay. The window in the middle of the map became a particularly dangerous spot.
