Ben “Noxville” Steenhuisen showed that after the release of patch 7.40 the situation in Dota 2 changed, and now Dire has a higher winrate in pro matches than Radiant, although for most of the game's history it was the opposite.
The analyst reported this on his page in X.
According to the published statistics, the winrate of players on the Dire side increased to 51.03%, even though earlier they were losing more often to the Radiant side. However, in the global picture the situation is still not equal, and on the pro scene Radiant still has 553 more wins overall.
It is likely that this change can be explained by the map changes. The developers significantly reworked the landscape and balanced the terrain, which slightly evened the chances of the teams to win, although earlier the forces of Light almost always dominated.
