The developers of Dota 2 have announced a contest with the chance to win tens of thousands of dollars

The Dota 2 short film contest submissions process has begun, as announced by Valve. This is an annual event that coincides with the commencement of The International and this season’s prize money will be $25, 000.

The official Dota 2 website provides this information.

Every participant should present his/her work before August 19th, 2024 while the clip duration must not exceed one minute and thirty seconds. Afterward, all users can evaluate and see other user-created videos in Steam Workshop.

Nevertheless, it should be mentioned that there won’t be a single victor at the competition; different participants will win money prizes. The top prize-winner is going to receive $25k from Valve with $10k and $5k for the second and third positions respectively. In addition those authors who managed to make into top ten shall receive $500 each.

Last year,the best of all was Chemical Rage (short film) created by a video blogger nick-named 4fun. According to respondents, quality of performance and concept were admired; the short-film turned out as impressive art-work.

Recall that earlier on Valve provided Team Spirit manager Dmitry "Korb3n" Belov with access to test their new game called Deadlock.
