Nikita “Daxak” Kuzmin stated that the
Virtus.pro Dota 2 roster showed a very low level of preparation at the Riyadh Masters 2025 tournament, despite the efforts of the players and coach Artem “Fng” Barshak.
The player made this statement on Twitch.
"As I said in an English-language interview, the most disappointing thing is not that we lost. There are losses when you prepared, did everything together, but something didn't work out for someone, someone got sick, something didn't work out for someone, even though everyone tried, and so on. But when it's like kindergarten and there's no preparation... Even considering that we changed coaches and Fng tried very hard, at some point we even started to succeed. But then there was a turning point — and that was it. No atmosphere, no game."
Nikita “Daxak” Kuzmin also noted that the team's result had a negative impact on the reputation of Artem “Fng” Barshak, who began to be blamed for unsuccessful drafts. Nevertheless, the player noted that the problems were not with the heroes, but with the level of preparation of the players. The esports player called the elimination from Riyadh Masters 2025 with one of the worst results an absolute failure for the team.
"It was hard for the coach. Imagine, every day they say that the problem is in the peak. But it wasn't. Even considering that the atmosphere for the last games had recovered a little, the lack of preparation decided the outcome. Alas, it was simply a failure on all fronts."
Earlier, Anton “Dyrachyo” Shkredov commented on
Virtus.pro's gameplay, naming the culprit for the defeat against
Aurora.
