Dataminer MOLEKURYATNIK warned that until the end of the week it is better not to play CS2 in PREMIER and Competitive modes due to issues with the VACnet anti-cheat system.
He talked about this in a new video on YouTube.
According to him, many players are complaining that they received unfair bans in CS2, even though they did not break any rules. The dataminer explained that this is related to how the anti-cheat works, and if a user got banned, then most likely there really was a cheater in his team.
He said that it’s better for now not to enter PREMIER and Competitive modes, to avoid possible bans. It is worth noting that the game is currently experiencing a real wave of bans, and in just the last 3 days more than 4 thousand accounts was blocked.
Many people hope that this could indirectly hint at a major CS2 update. The thing is that Valve Corporation often carried out large scale ban waves against cheaters right before big updates, in the past.
