Dataminer Thour has stated that the new Cache map for Counter-Strike 2 will be added to the game later this year.
The analyst shared this information on X.
"So, Cache is coming but it will stay in the Competitive mode for a few months and get good with feedback before coming back into the Active Duty/Map Pool.
But -Train is surprising."
Acording to the data miner, the developers will initialy add the map to Competitive mode to gather feedback from players, after which Cache will become available in the active map pool. Thour also expressed regret over the removal of the Train map from the oficial map pool, which the developers replaced with Anubis.
Earlier, data miner Thour stated that Valve may remove cases from CS2 in 2026, replacing them with alternative mechanics.
