Dataminer Fay revealed that the chances of Dota 2 Battle Pass 2025 appearing are extremely slim, but Valve may release some form of Enmity instead.
He said in his Telegram channel.
“Everyone writes about BP, let me write too. I am 90% sure that the BP of 2015-2022 will not be. According to Valve, BP development took about a year, and they and Crownfall didn't have time for anything. For them to still have a complete full PSU ready by September under Int.... That's close to impossible. But I also don't believe that in the current Dota conditions and trends they will leave the compendium as it is, for no one actually needs it. If you compare the compendium of 2023 and 2024, the latter looks more interesting, at least because of the statue block (at least you can see them in the game sometimes)”
Fay said that due to the tight timeline, Valve is unlikely to release the 2025 BattlePass, but will keep the Compedium. According to him, there is also a possibility that the developers could release an analog of Nemestice, which was a replacement for the Battle Pass during the pandemic.
“My personal opinion is that there's a chance to see something along the lines of a stripped down Nemestice (recall that it was a pandemic-induced BP replacement, being a striped down BP with Arcana, personality, immortal chest and 500 levels). Such a solution wouldn't have required a long development time and would have at least somehow upped Int and prize pool. And after the drought of content, I think players would also take it positively”
According to him, although it will not be a full-fledged replacement for the Battle Pass, but it will bring some interesting content to the game, which fans have been asking for a long time and even can increase the prize pool of The International 2025.
Recall that earlier
Team Spirit found a possible hint of Battle Pass 2025 release in Dota 2.
