A curious incident occurred during the closed qualifiers for ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023

The new roster of Talon Esports defeated the old lineup, which almost entirely moved to the team Aurora, making for quite a comedic situation.

Commentator Vladimir "Maelstorm" Kuzminov highlighted this curious incident in his Telegram.

"Aurora (former Talon players) lost to Talon and got eliminated from the qualifiers. What do you know about smart transfers?"

Recall that almost the entire roster of Talon Esports, which competed in The International 2023, moved to Aurora. Fans found it amusing that the refreshed roster managed to knock out the old roster, which had qualified for TI12, from the qualifiers.
