CS2 skin prices suddenly skyrocketed: the reason for the surge was named

On the Steam Marketplace, prices for a number of MP9 skins suddenly jumped, and some of them increased more than two times, reaching almost cosmic levels.

This is indicated by price changes on the platform’s trading marketplace.

So, MP9 Stained Glass went up from $255 to $1400, that is more than 5 times. Other MP9 skins also became much more expensive, for example the Souvenir MP9 Dark Age increased from $55 to $1090, that is more than 20 times. A similar situation is seen with MP9 Setting Sun and MP9 Hydra, which now cost $720 and $680.

It is assumed that this situation happened not because of natural demand but due to actions of a group of investors, who artificially raised prices on these skins. There is information circulating online, that the same people were behind a similar scheme with Nocts skins.
