The Crownfall update introduced a feature for quickly boosting MMR in Dota 2

Valve has added a feature in Dota 2 that allows for quick MMR boost using special tokens to double the rating gained in a match. This function debuted with the release of the Crownfall update.

Previously, a similar capability was available to Battle Pass 2022 owners, but now Valve has reintroduced this feature. Before a match, players can use a token to double the amount of MMR points they will receive in ranked matches.

The button is located on the left side of the screen, just above the mini-map, in the area where predictions used to be, so some players and even esports professionals have encountered accidental clicks and unintentionally spent tokens. Roman "RAMZES" Kushnarev and Timur "Ahilles" Kulmukhametov have already shared their experiences with such issues and cautioned other members of the Dota 2 community to be more careful.

To note, Valve released the Crownfall update, which introduced a narrative event in the game and added the opportunity to acquire several unique skins and cosmetic items for characters.
