A critical bug has been discovered in Dota 2, allowing players to deal insane damage

Players have discovered that Broodmother can deal enormous damage due to a bug that significantly breaks the balance of Dota 2 matchmaking.

A post from user SighNotAvailable appeared on Reddit, demonstrating how the bug works.

The problem lies in the incorrect operation of the Aghanims Shard enhancement. Under normal circumstances, the Broodmother ability should increase damage by 4% every second while it is active. However, when using Refresher Orb and reactivating the ability, the bonus starts to accumulate uncontrollably. The damage continues to increase even while paused, making the mechanics extremely unstable and completely breaking the balance.

It is likely that in the near future Valve will release a fix, which should stabilize the situation in matchmaking.
