The current year started with a wave of blocking smurf accounts of pro-players, and Rostislav "rostislav_999" Protasenya was one of the first to receive a ban. The streamer claimed at the time that he was playing from smurfs due to difficulty finding high ranked matches. Valve blocked the accounts of the content-maker more than eight times in a row.
