Airat "Silent" Gaziev, the coach of
Team Spirit, believes he is partially responsible for the team's elimination from the Riyadh Masters 2024, admitting that he did not fully grasp the current meta.
The team's coach shared this in a new video posted on the club's official YouTube channel.
"I think I handled the drafts very poorly. I didn't have a good understanding of the meta. That let us down. Maybe we played poorly in some games, but the main reason for our loss was a poorly understood meta"
However, he also noted that drafts were not the only issue. Silent emphasized that the players had a problem with tempo, as almost all other teams were ahead of
Team Spirit in this aspect.
"The problem was that everyone played a bit faster than us. We were getting outpaced. We tried to catch up and match the tempo, but it didn't work. It only got worse. We tried to adapt, but the drafts were bad. It was impossible to win"
Previously, Dmitry "Korb3n" Belov had commented on
Team Spirit elimination from the Riyadh Masters 2024 for the first time.
