Leonid “Chopper” Vishnyakov sees progress in
Team Spirit’s preparation, as the team managed to reach the grand final of the IEM Rio Counter-Strike 2 tournament.
The player shared this opinion on Twitch.
“Yeah, they're great. They made it to the finals despite a tough situation. While Hally was out sick, the guys really buckled down with the new coach, worked hard, and made it to the finals. I watched 1.5 maps. I think they had a real chance to really put the pressure on Vitality, but something was missing.”
According to Leonid “Chopper” Vishnyakov, despite the loss in the decisive series, the team managed to reach the grand final despite finding themselves in a difficult situation due to an unexpected coaching change. Moreover, Chopper believes that even in the final against Vitality, his former teammates put up a solid fight, giving their opponents a run for their money.
As a reminder, Duncan “Thorin” Shields previously blamed Danil “donk” Kryshkovets for
Team Spirit’s defeat in the IEM Rio grand final.
