Chinese teams returned home from WePlay AniMajor 2021

WePlay Esports have announced on Reddit that all Chinese teams that participated in WePlay AniMajor 2021 have made it home safely.

Invictus Gaming was the first to return to China. The iG manager thanked tournament organizers for help.

After participating at Animajor, Chinese teams were planning to fly home on a private flight organized by WePlay Esport due to the lack of normal flight connections. But China has canceled all private flights due to the tightening the quarantine of COVID-19, which prevented teams from returning to the country on a WePlay Esports flight and forced the organizations to look for alternatives.

Due to the current situation, the guests from China wanted to stay in Ukraine and prepare for The International 10. But they are forced to return home to obtain visas to Sweden (at that time there wasn't news about the cancellation of TI10). After returning to Shanghai, the team players will be quarantined for 21 days.

Now all Chinese teams are home and preparing for the main and long-awaited tournament of this year - The International. As a reminder, four Chinese teams have already received direct invitations: PSG.LGD, Invictus Gaming, Vici Gaming and Team Aster. Another one team will decide on the qualifiers for TI10 in China, which will be held July 7-10.
