John “Johnxfire” Fernandez stated that sometimes lineup changes benefit an individual player but harm the entire team, and this is exactly the situation the caster sees in the replacement of Anton “Dyrachyo” Shkredov in
Gaimin Gladiators, after which the player improved the results of
Tundra Esports, while his former teammates started losing.
The corresponding opinion was shared by the caster in an interview with Dota2.
“It's quite interesting to see how Tundra has managed to build its roster in the right way. The team had a lot of success with Dyrachyo, while Gladiators lost their momentum. This highlights a problem that sometimes occurs in teams when people play together for a long time: change can benefit an individual player but negatively affect the rest of the group.”
According to John “Johnxfire” Fernandez, he'll be interested to watch to see if
Tundra Esports can maintain their level of current success and the
Gaimin Gladiators can regain their level of play after the replacements sort out the team's issues. Caster also noted a similar situation with the
OG squad, who lack team cohesion due to poor results.
“It will be very interesting to see if Tundra can maintain their excellent form and if Gaimin manages to sort out his problem.
OG is also showing a lack of cohesion on the back of poor results - even at smaller regional tournaments.”
Recall that earlier Yaroslav “NS” Kuznetsov explained why the
Gaimin Gladiators lineup started losing after Anton “Dyrachyo” Shkredov was replaced.
