Calibration will be added to FACEIT like Premier: launch date of the new ELO system

A new rating calibration system will appear on FACEIT, similar to the one used in Premier mode of CS2. The update is scheduled to launch on April 22

After the update ELO of players will not be shown until they play 10 calibration matches. In this way developers want to recalculate the level of all users and make the rating system more accurate

The main goal of this change is to fix the problem of level 10 FACEIT. Recently the gap in skill between top players and regular users became too big, because of this the current system stopped reflecting real skill correctly

It is expected that after recalibration many players will get a lower rating than before, since the system will evaluate their skill again and redistribute ELO accordingly
