Samuel “Boxi” Swan named Michael “miCKe” Wu as
Team Liquid's MVP at the Riyadh Masters 2025 Dota 2 tournament.
The player announced this on Telegram.
"Probably Micke, because he's a positive guy. Thanks to him, we have a good mood and atmosphere in the team. I think he's the one who works to keep everything from falling apart when things aren't going well for us."
The player also noted that although
Team Liquid won most of the matches in the group stage of the Riyadh Masters 2025, some of them were quite difficult for the team. According to Samuel “Boxi” Swan, the player is intimidated by the tournament format due to the absence of a lower playoff bracket, where each match is a knockout game. The esports player believes that in this format, it is very important to face an opponent that his team is comfortable playing against, because otherwise, the match is likely to end in elimination from the Esports World Cup.
"So far, so good. I wouldn't say it was easy. Obviously, we won most of the matches, but some were difficult. I don't know, it's pretty fun to play in this tournament. It's a little scary because there is no lower bracket, because you only have one bo3. It's very important who you play against. If you play against a team that is comfortable for us, then that's great. But if you play against a team that you lose to, then you can very easily be eliminated from the tournament."
Earlier, Kamil “Koma” Biktimirov named the key player of
Team Liquid, whose play the team's strategies are built around.
