BetBoom Team captain says why the team lost on the map against Talon Esports

Vitaly “Save-” Melnyk said that at the beginning of the second map against Talon Esports at The International 2024, the team expected an easy victory, but the players relaxed early, which caused them to lose.

The BetBoom Team captain shared his respective opinion in a post-match interview on Twitch.

“It was fun at first, then it got stressful. We threw in the second map. It was easy, but we played really bad, so we lost.”

The player also shared his expectations for the next series against Nouns. Vitaly “Save-” Melnyk believes that although BetBoom Team was able to easily beat this opponent in the opening match of the tournament, the team showed significant progress over the course of the tournament by beating Team Spirit.

“ Nouns is a good team, even though we beat them easily on the first day of TI13. That being said, Nouns gained over the course of the tournament: they beat Spirit and took a map from Gladiators. We'll prepare and try to play our best game.”

BetBoom Team started The International 2024 playoffs from the bottom of the grid, because of which any defeat will lead to the team's departure from the tournament.
