BetBoom Team reported a worrying signal from Valve at The International 2024

Luka "Lukawa" Nasuashvili, the manager of BetBoom Team, reported that this year, before the start of The International 2024, there was no traditional meeting with Valve, which he sees as a worrying sign.

He shared this on his Telegram channel.

"By the way, the annual meeting with Valve didn't happen. Usually, they announce the groups there and say pretty much the same things that were written in the welcome letter. And I still haven't seen any Valve representatives at the hotel. Maybe they will be here later, or we just haven't crossed paths yet. All these signs are adding up to a very sad song..."

According to him, instead of a meeting, there was essentially just a welcome letter from Valve. Additionally, the group draw was usually announced at these meetings, but this year, things are different. Lukawa believes this points to a concerning trend.

Moreover, the BetBoom Team manager emphasized that even though the world championship starts tomorrow, he has yet to see any Dota 2 developers. However, he doesn't rule out the possibility that teams might still meet them.

It's worth noting that Valve previously called The International 2024 historic, reminding everyone that something like this is happening for the first time in 13 years.
