Luca “Lukawa” Nasuashvili, manager of
BetBoom Team, after the release of Dota 2 update with the game event “Frostivus” ironically stated that Valve make exclusive items to get donations, then remove them from the game and bring them back for donations.
The
BetBoom Team manager shared a relevant opinion on Telegram.
“Logic 10 out of 10. Make exclusive gear so you donate, then give back exclusive gear (which is no longer exclusive) so you donate.”
The developers released an update for Dota 2 with the in-game event “Frostivus” on January 19. Players had the opportunity to earn New Year's-themed rewards in the Frostivus Forge. Along with the holiday event, a new treasure trove with a harness on
Windranger was also added. However, players never received a new patch with a gameplay update.
Recall that, after the release of Frostivus, the game banned more than 65 thousand accounts of players suspected of smurfing.
