Aurora declined to participate in the tournament: reason revealed

Aurora refused to play at 1w Essence despite getting an invite, because the club wants to focus on visa preparations, which is now the main priority for the team.

This was announced on the club’s official page on X

“We would like to thank the organizers for the invitation. Unfortunately, we won’t be able to take part in 1w Essence.

Because we have several big tournaments around the world ahead, we need to shift our focus to visa preparation.

Thank you for your support. On May 13 we will start our run at DreamLeague 29, see you there”

It’s worth noting this is not the first team to decline participation, before them Team Falcons and Team Liquid also did the same. It’s still unknown who will replace Aurora at the tournament.

For now, three tier-1 teams are confirmed for the event: Team Spirit, Team Yandex and PARIVISION, who will start directly from the playoffs.
