Astralis commented on their triumphant victory over Team Spirit

Lowe “phzy” Smedebrand stated that Astralis’ victory over Team Spirit in the first round of the ESL Pro League Season 23 playoffs came fairly easily.

The player shared this opinion in an interview with HLTV.

“Yes, my answer will probably sound very ‘clickbait.’ But, to be honest, yes—it felt pretty easy. I don’t know if that’s because Team Spirit didn’t play their best game, or because we played very well ourselves. We’ll have to review the match and figure it out.”

According to Love “phzy” Smedebrant, it’s difficult for the esports player to understand the reason for this. He believes that the easy victory could indicate either a lack of preparation on Team Spirit’s part or strong gameplay from the Astralis players. The esports player also noted that he feels great after his team’s victory, since the roster didn’t set any specific goals for themselves from the start, instead moving step by step toward success.

“It feels great. We didn’t really set any specific goals or expectations for ourselves—we just took it one match at a time, starting back in Stage 1. So yeah, it’s just nice.”
