Matthew “ari” Walker said that he does not see much progress in the play of
Natus Vincere's roster, but the team's results have improved because the roster is not feeling the pressure right now.
The player made this statement on Twitch.
“It's hard to say why we've gotten better. I think the easiest way to explain it is that we were very worried about the results in the EWC and TI qualifiers. The losses put even more pressure on us. ‘Damn, guys, we're not going to TI, we have to win.’ These thoughts get stuck in your head and prevent you from playing.”
According to Matthew “ari” Walker,
Natus Vincere players used to show emotion over every little thing, but at PGL Wallachia Season 5, the team has nothing to lose, which leads to a more relaxed and productive game, despite the negative expectations before the tournament.
“You get annoyed with each other over the slightest thing. But at this tournament, we have nothing to lose. Everyone expected us to finish last or something like that, so we're just enjoying the game. It turns out that thanks to this freedom, we play much better.”
It is worth noting that from July 1, the entire
Natus Vincere roster will be replaced by
NAVI Junior players.
