Afoninje reveals the highest salary of his career on the Dota 2 pro scene

Andrey “Afoninje” Afonin stated that the highest salary in his career on the Dota 2 pro scene was $8,000 per month while playing for Gambit Esports.

The streamer and former pro player announced this on Twitch.

“Somewhere around $8,000 was the maximum salary. That was when we were almost top 1.”

According to the content maker, the salary in the organization depended on the team's rating. The higher the results the players showed, the higher the salary they received. Andrey “Afoninje” Afonin's highest-earning period came when the team won 10 maps in a row against OG, becoming one of the favorites in professional Dota 2.

"Our salary at Gambit depended on the GosuGamers rating. Old-timers know. You play in many tournaments, go far, and get more. Or you beat a good team, and they give you more points. And we had a streak that year — we beat OG 10-0, who had won the International before that. They couldn't even come close to taking a single map from us."

Andrey “Afoninje” Afonin played for Gambit Esports from October 2018 to August 2019.
