Marcus "Ace" Hoelgaard said that problems in
Gaimin Gladiators started after Anton "Dyrachyo" Shkredov left, since their more aggressive playstyle was built around him, and after the patch release they couldn’t really get themselves together.
The new offlaner of
Team Liquid talked about this in an interview with eScoreNews
"We had too many players with different styles that didn’t really match, but we got used to it with Dyrachyo. And then we got watson. But we were all used to playing very aggressive Dota. Quinn also really wants to play aggressive. That’s our style. But watson was more of a traditional late-game carry"
Ace noted that Alimzhan "Watson" Islambekov is a good carry, but he was very different in execution from Dyrachyo, which disoriented the roster. According to him, the new patch also didn’t do any good for
Gaimin Gladiators. In the end, the team’s gameplay fell apart after Dyrachyo left.
Earlier, Quinn "Quinn" Callahan shocked everyone with his statement about Dyrachyo and
Gaimin Gladiators.
