A new Dota 2 hero Arjun spotted in patch 7.41

Dataminers found in patch 7.41 that work on a new hero Arjun, seems to be продолжается. In the game files, there was discovered a new modifier called modifier_arjun_chariot_mounted.

This was reported by the Telegram channel DotaFlow.

Judging by the name, it could be a mechanic related to moving on a chariot. It can be roughly translated as “riding a chariot” or “chariot rider”, which hints at some unique gameplay element, that could make the hero different from others.

This also fits the supposed concept of the character. The name Arjun likely refers to Arjuna, one of the main heroes of the Indian epic “Mahabharata”, known as a great warrior and archer, who fought from a chariot.

So, Valve seems to continue exploring Indian mythology theme, and the hero might get abilities related to mobility, positioning control, or even some kind of “vehicle” mechanics during fights.
