A Reddit user shared a story of an unexpected act of generosity from a stranger who funded the purchase of a new PC for him to play Dota 2, just because he asked for it on the forum.

The corresponding thread is gaining popularity on the Reddit platform.

"It feels like ages ago when I, sitting in tears, dreamed of a computer to play Dota. And suddenly, a stranger slid into my private messages offering help. At first, I thought it was a joke, but it turned out they were completely serious!

Now, almost a year later, I'm in a much better place, grinding away with the PC they bought for me.

Sending out good vibes to you, stranger! Wherever you are, whenever it is, I wish you all the best"

Funny_Mongoose noted that he simply posted a request on the subreddit for help in buying a new computer to play Dota 2 but didn't expect such generosity. Initially, he faced insults in the comments, but suddenly a stranger messaged him privately. At first, he didn't believe it, but he provided his details, and the anonymous person indeed sent him $500.

The player still doesn't know who this generous anonymous benefactor was but is incredibly grateful and mentioned that he truly enjoys the game thanks to them. Other users were amazed by the story, noting that truly remarkable things can happen on Reddit.

Recall that earlier, Team Spirit elimination divided the Dota 2 Reddit community into two camps due to their attitudes towards the world champions.
