Maria 'Inverno' Gunina, former strategy director of
9 Pandas, stated that one of the players wanted to bring his lover to the Bali Major tournament. According to her, the club couldn't decide whether such a move was appropriate.
She shared this information on her Telegram channel.
"Social media reminded me that a year ago I was at the Bali Major. This, in turn, reminded me of an issue within our former team where we couldn't reach a consensus: whether one of the players could bring their lover to competitions. It's great that with my departure, any conflicts related to this contentious issue disappeared, as the team simply stopped qualifying for tournaments"
Inverno decided not to disclose the player's name who wanted to bring his lover to the tournament, but it appears to have been one of the team members at the time. Recall that during the Bali Major,
9 Pandas consisted of five esports players: Gleb 'kiyotaka' Zyryanov, Matvey 'MieRo' Vasyunin, Roman 'RAMZES' Kushnarev, Vladislav 'Antares' Kertman, and Alexey 'Solo' Berezin.
It's worth noting that
9 Pandas finished 5-6th at that tournament, earning $25,000, while
Gaimin Gladiators emerged as the champions.
