9 New Items Added to Dota 2 in Patch 7.41

In patch 7.41, the team didn’t just rework gameplay — they also updated the item system. The game now features nine new items: four basic ones and five more advanced upgrades with unique effects.
Basic Items:
Chasm Stone — increases ability AoE radius by 40. Cost: 800 gold.
Shawl — grants 10% magic resistance. Cost: 450 gold.
Splintmail — provides +7 armor. Cost: 950 gold.
Wizard Hat — grants +125 mana. Cost: 250 gold.
Upgraded Items:
Consecrated Wraps Built from Vitality Booster, Shawl, Crown, and a recipe (total cost: 2600 gold). Provides survivability and stats: magic resistance, health, and attributes. Passive: gradually builds up charges that convert into a damage barrier when the holder is attacked. The more charges, the stronger the shield.
Crella’s Crozier Built from Ghost Scepter, Soul Booster, and a recipe (total cost: 4800 gold). Grants all attributes along with bonus HP and mana. Active: turns the hero ethereal — immune to physical damage but unable to attack and more vulnerable to magic. Also slows nearby enemies and steals their movement speed. Passive: reduces health regeneration of nearby enemies, and during the active effect, converts their lost HP into healing for the item’s owner.
Essence Distiller Built from Urn of Shadows, Chainmail, Wizard Hat, and a recipe (total cost: 1775 gold). Provides armor, mana, and mana regeneration. Active ability is versatile:
on allies — boosts health regeneration until they take damage;
on enemies — deals damage over time and grants vision;
on the ground — creates a trap that activates when an enemy approaches. Uses a charge system similar to Urn of Shadows.
Specialist’s Array Built from Blade of Alacrity, Broadsword, and a recipe (total cost: 2550 gold). Designed for ranged heroes. Grants damage and agility. Passive: gives a chance to fire additional projectiles at nearby targets, dealing reduced damage. The main attack is slightly amplified when it triggers.
Hydra’s Breath An upgrade of Specialist’s Array (total cost: 5900 gold). Provides significant stat bonuses and increased attack range (for ranged heroes). Includes two effects:
attacks apply a poison dealing damage based on the target’s max HP;
chance to fire multiple extra projectiles that spread the poison effect.
Additional Changes:
Neutral items and their acquisition system have been updated;
Several existing items were rebalanced;
Eternal Shroud has been completely removed from the game.
