Neta “33” Shapira expressed his hope that
Tundra Esports' victories will not be limited to the BLAST Slam 2 tournament, and that the team will have a successful year ahead. The captain of the squad said he takes as an example teams that have won entire championship series in a row.
The pro player made the corresponding statement on Twitch.
“Hopefully this year will be even greater for
Tundra Esports and for me personally. I've always wanted to not just win one big tournament and just be a middling player throughout the rest of the season. I'm focused on teams that win 3/4/5 tournaments in a row, I want to show consistency. That's what we're striving for and hopefully what we can accomplish.”
Tundra Esports defeated
Gaimin Gladiators in the BLAST Slam II Grand Finals on three straight maps, leaving their opponents with no chance of success. This is the second major win for the squad this year. Earlier,
Tundra Esports became the winners of the FISSURE Playground Grand Final, defeating
Team Falcons after losing on the first two maps of the decisive series.
Recall that as soon as Neta “33” Shapira lifted the trophy at the BLAST Slam 2 awards ceremony, the trophy unexpectedly broke.
