CEO ESB, Gonzalo Velasco, responding to a question about match-fixing in the South American DPC, said that numerous cases of 322 could be the reason why Valve canceled the Dota Pro Circuit in 2024.

CEO ESB, Gonzalo Velasco:

Hello, the punishment for complaints is not our responsibility, the evidence file was sent to Valve for their verdict after a long investigation, we were also waiting for names/teams; What we had was even more drastic, the cancellation of the DPC.

ESB was organizing the Dota Pro Circuit in South America. Due to frequent suspicions between teams and players of match fixing, the community partially blamed the ESB for inaction. However, the tournament operator did not have the right to ban players or teams, and, according to instructions, sent all information to Valve.

it is likely that all the evidence submitted and supported to Valve by us and other TOs regarding these cases has prompted league deactivation rather than individual suspensions.

It is likely that the multitude of 322 cases from different regions was the final factor in the decision to shut down the Dota Pro Circuit system.

Valve has announced that the Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) system will be canceled after the current 2023 season. The system was introduced in 2017 with the goal of making the process of inviting teams to The International tournament more transparent and fair.
