1win commented on the transfer of the slot to OG at ESL One Birmingham

According to 1win, the team missed the deadline set by the tournament operator, and months of preparation were wasted because of a discrepancy of several hours.

In Telegraph, there was an official position regarding what happened about the team’s slot at ESL One Birmingham 2024.

“It is unfortunate that we did not make it in time as per the ESL rules. We had our players go through rigorous qualification process with full support from the organization; media was ready to fly with boys for content creations. However, we are going to fail it for just a small thing like four hours.”

Support us further in future tournaments where we will definitely qualify and play directly.”

In addition, the organization posted a detailed timeline of events according to which members started preparing documents immediately after receipting qualification slots. Nevertheless, in view of a long waiting period for the embassy’s response, complications arose during final document processing. Despite ESL repeatedly prolonging submission dates on paperwork, all lineup members as well as 1win staff received their documents only a few hours later than originally planned deadline.

This was either prompted by biased approach or was simply aiming at handing over this slot to OG according to Timur "Ahilles" Kulmukhametov – coach of lineup.

Apart from that, popular streamer Yaroslav "NS" Kuznetsov has also previously spoken about this case concerning transferring slots.
