It came to light that 10 players, who were previously banned from ESL owing to account sharing, may have been reinstated after the expiration of their banning period.

This news was shared on a Telegram channel by Baned player Bauyrzhan “lilskrip” Bisembaev.

The violation that the players committed took place on 18th December 2022 and the two year ban that Bhaned has against them will come to an end on 19th December 2024. It is however claimed that while the players may be able to take part in ESL tournaments, they will still be permanent banned from the Valve and PGL tournaments.

I am putting together “a team and heading towards a bootcamp,” said lilskrip but it could be all trolling. Also quite a few of the players that have been banned, Kamil “Koma” Biktimirov for instance, has stated that he wants to start streaming and opts out from competitive Dota 2.

List of all the suspended players:

  • Kamil "Koma`" Biktimirov

  • Yaroslav "Limitless" Parshin

  • Sergey "[T]SA" Timchenko

  • Danil "illusion" Grzhevka

  • Kirill "deihraa" Kharitonov

  • Viktor "SuperNova" Galichkin

  • Emil "Keintseru" Daminov

  • Aslan "Paradise" Vadilov

  • Vladislav "Chambl" Khoroltsev

  • Bauyrzhan "lilskrip" Bisembaev

Nonetheless, ESL hasn’t given any official statements further explaining this matter, meaning that the suspensions might still apply, making the players ineligible to compete in any of the tournaments organized by this organization.

It is also interesting to point that Valve in the past has suspended tens of thousands of Dota 2 players for game rule sanctions, vetoing several bots that occupied leaderboard’s highest spots.
