Ilya "Yatoro" Mulyarchuk,
Team Spirit carry, referred to Dota 2 tournaments as trash while saying CS2 and Valorant championships are leagues above them.
This opinion was shared by the two time Dota 2 champion in a recent video upload to the team’s YouTube channel.
"I watched Valorant tournaments. Everything is great there. Riot has an insane system with region qualifiers into LANs. Honestly, all Dota tournaments are disgusting ****. Playing it is super cool, but the way they are organized and formatted is awful”
The esports player remarked that Dota 2 tournaments are significantly more comfortable welcoming for the players and fun to compete in but terrible for the spectators. But Yatoro noted that he went to CS2 and Valorant tournaments and experienced something else entirely when it came to fans.
“Any other discipline tournament is likely to ***. Not because the TO organized it, but because of his developers. For instance, a CS major. Yes, it is owned by ESL or other companies, but it is a Valve event. I was there and it was great. The tournament was great, the arena was great. The major format is not beneficial for players, but who cares about that. The last days I experienced as a spectator were truly astonishing”
Team Spirit has multi-faceted opinions on Anton “Dyrachyo” Shkredov’s unanticipated exit from Gaimin Gladiators and has previously voiced insights on
