Yatoro shared that his MMR gain system in Dota 2 has changed

An ex-carry of Team Spirit, Ilya ‘Yatoro’ Mulyarchuk shared yet another interesting nuance concerning MMR distribution after a player crosses 16,000. The professional esports player acknowledged that after attaining such rank, there is a sharp decline on the amount of points earned during winning games, while the penalty for losses increased drastically.
This narration was presented by him on a live Twitch stream.
Moving on, a two time Dota 2 world champion displayed his in-game stats showing a case of utmost concern. Since ranked matches feature players who are not up to his standards, he receives a lot less points than he did before. Yatoro illustrated that all his points earned from four straight wins has just vanished after losing one match.

He would say that this poses a huge difficulty for reaching 17 000 MMR. At the same time, he pointed out that as more players get closer to 16000 this barrier will ease up and new records could be easily set ahead.
To recall, one of the winners, Roman ‘RAMZES666’ Kushnarev, recently managed to win against 50 players in a challenge of this kind.
