Ilya "Yatoro" Mulyarchuk,
Team Spirit carry, has publicly stated that his expectations for The International 2025 are very low because he thinks the price pool will be little and the conditions at the tournament will be very poor.
The two-time Dota 2 world champion shared his thoughts in a new video on the team's YouTube channel.
“Expecting nothing. Dota has cultivated a culture of hopelessness. Feels like the prize pool would be 500,000 hryvnias. The hotel, 2 out of 10. Will they be able to organize a proper tournament this time? Would be great, but I expect it to be business as usual. Not to make it sound completely grim, it does exist. Developers do care a little, thanks for the daily bread"
Yatoro said he will be glad if he is wrong in his expectations, but has a strong feeling the championship will be at an overall low standard. He pointed out that having almost no expectations of a big prize pool and poor hotel conditions has become the norm.
Many people from the professional circle heavily criticize Valve and the tournament organizers for their negligent behavior and insufficient prize money from the sponsors.
Some time back, the
Team Falcons sent a message to the Dota 2 community about a new bug they have found.
