Yatoro dramatically changed his opinion about Kez: the player's statement

Ilya "Yatoro" Mulyarchuk, former carry of Team Spirit, changed his opinion about the new Dota 2 hero and now believes that Kez is quite weak in the late game and dies too quickly in teamfights.

The two-time world champion shared his thoughts during a Twitch stream.

"Kez *****. I played him, and in the midgame, you crush everyone, but in the late game, you're useless. The meta needs to change for Kez to start being viable in Dota 2. He gets wrecked by Shadow Fiend, Luna, Morphling, Medusa. You commit too much, and you don't have escape buttons.

In other words, he's a melee hero with weak escapes. His only escape is invisibility, and you can anchor to a tree, that's decent. But usually, you just go in and die in a couple of seconds"

The esports player called Kez outright weak, emphasizing that he significantly falls short in the current meta. According to him, while Kez can perform decently in the midgame, the late game becomes disastrous. Yatoro believes the situation could change if the meta shifts. He also pointed out that Kez is a melee hero with poor escape abilities, which often leads to his death in teamfights.

It’s worth noting that Yatoro’s opinion was drastically different earlier, as he had previously called the hero strong but skill-demanding in Dota 2 matchmaking.
