Ilya “Yatoro” Mulyarchuk said that
Team Spirits victory over
Heroic at FISSURE Playground 2 was fairly easy thanks to the preparation by Nikita “panto” Balaganin and Ayrat “Silent” Gaziev.
The two-time Dota 2 world champion shared this in a post-match interview.
“We played well and prepared well — both the captain and the coach. They knew how Heroic would play. We understood what they wanted to do: stack as five, run at us, use portals in certain places, and so on. We prepared well for them in both the first and second games.”
Yatoro emphasized that the team’s captain and coach knew how the opponents would play, which allowed them to prepare the team for the matchup. He also noted that the second map was particularly easy due to the opponents’ mistakes, allowing
Team Spirit to gain momentum and beat Heroic without problems.
“On the second map, they overthought the flex, and in the end, they had no carry. We gained momentum and just won. It was pretty easy and relaxed. But Heroic is a good team with their own playstyle; it’s interesting to play against them.”
Nevertheless, Yatoro noted that
Heroic is an unusual team with a distinctive playstyle, so matches against them are always interesting.
