Huanchen “Xm” Zhong of Xtreme Gaming said that they didn’t train after the Elite League because they expected patch 7.36 to drop for Dota 2. It didn’t, he told Esports.gg.

“Usually we take a break after tournaments, [then] play scrims maybe one or two days,” Xm explained. “After the Elite League though, we thought there would be a new patch so we didn’t train at all. But later on we knew there was no update”

The team thought a big patch was coming soon and didn’t see much point in practicing on the previous meta or builds, but it never came — leaving Ame’s squad to compete on the current patch, which caught them off guard.

Earlier this week Miroslav “Mira” Kolpakov made waves when he wiped Xtreme Gaming team in less than a second during a match.
