Winter Bear players suspected their own carry of intentionally throwing a match during the European Pro League.
Commentator Vladimir “Maelstorm” Kuzminov shared the details of the situation during a stream on Twitch.
Vladimir “Maelstorm” Kuzminov said that he received a message from Konstantin “waveformn” Kovalev, a representative of
Winter Bear. In the message, he accused Ivan “4IVAN” Moshkovskiy of being involved in 322.
During the match against Ilbirs, Moshkovskiy, who was playing
Alchemist, disconnected from the game several times, despite
Winter Bear having a big gold advantage. After another disconnect, the team decided to continue the match playing 4v5, manually controlling the carry hero.
Later, 4IVAN reconnected to the game, but then simply stayed AFK until the end of the match — for almost 30 minutes. Even so, Winter Bear managed to push through their opponent and win the game at the 92nd minute. Maelstorm also added that an unknown bettor placed 155 thousand dollars on an Ilbirs win, which only increased suspicions around what happened.
