After November 16, Valve is expected to release the first gameplay patch following The International 2023 and launch a new event, possibly dedicated to the New Year or Christmas.
This statement was made by the streamer and former esports player Yaroslav "NS" Kuznetsov on his Telegram channel.
"The reason why the patch (EVENT) should come around that time is that our Compendium is active until the 16th. Obviously, we shouldn't expect anything new until it expires"
According to him, although there have been no official announcements, it is likely that the developers of Dota 2 will delight the community by the end of the month.
"No one promised any events, but this year there simply weren't any. I don't believe that Valve will completely disregard the community (that has never happened!). Therefore, we can expect some kind of winter event for Christmas and New Year. The end of November is a good timing for the start of such an event"
It is worth noting that this year Valve abandoned the Battle Pass and decided to reintroduce the Compendium prior to TI12.
