The 4th day of the WePlay AniMajor playoff stage is over. We have made for you a short analysis of all matches and results of the game day.

Team Nigma 0 - 2 Evil Geniuses
The most important match for Nigma to get enough DPC points for TI10; and nothing decisive, except for the prize money, for Evil Geniuses. But knocking a strong opponent out of the tournament would still be nice.
On the first map, EG decided to play with Medusa and Puck, focusing on a strong teamfight. Nigma responded with Death Prophet, Dragon Knight and Enchantress. Troll Warlord with Diffusal Blade has also been taken against Medusa. EG's plan worked from the start of the map, Medusa was farming and while Puck went around with supports and killed Troll Warlord. Despite the death of Troll Warlord, Nigma was able to take Roshan, which EG did not even want to contest for. But EG knocked Aegis out of Troll, killed two Nigma heroes and destroyed T2 tower. This was followed by a terrible initiation from Nigma on Timbersaw, where Fly on Witch Doctor from a great position gave excellent Paralyzing Cask. This allowed EG to seize the lead. After that, Evil Geniuses won fight after fight due to the strong Medusa, which picked up Aegis and finished the first map in favor of their team.
Second map and Arteezy on Nature's Prophet versus Miracle- on Morphling. Drafts were balanced this time and both teams were focused on midgame. The advantage has long been in zero, but thanks to connections from Arteezy for kill iLTW, Evil Geniuses were able to seize the advantage. Nigma just couldn't keep up with the tempo that EG forced on them. Morphling had no time to farm, and Nature's Prophet with Aegis of the Immortal was unstoppable. Later Morphling was killed with Lion's Hex, and Nigma lost their chances of an invite to The International 10.
Quincy Crew 1 - 2 Vici Gaming
On the first map, Vici Gaming decided to play in their usual style at the tournament: late game core, this time Specter, four active heroes and drag out time with def of towers. To which QC decided to pick the Wraith King and Templar Assassin, with the help of which the towers will fall quickly. At the beginning of the game, Vici decided to play aggressively, initiating fights on the enemy half of the map. But QC counterattacked, as a result of which there was no one to defend the towers and QC began to seize the map. At a total of 24:6, Spectre has no items and GG at 25 minutes.
On the second map, Vici decided to pick an aggressive carry Weaver, and Dragon Knight on midlane. QC decided not to deviate from the working strategy with Wraith King and Templar Assassin and they will pay for it. VG, like on the first map, started to act aggressively. But they managed to stop in time, having lost several fights. After that, they began to catch lonely QC heroes, increasing their advantage. VG were taking over the map by constantly killing Templar Assassin. When QC had to fight for Roshan, the advantage of the Chinese team was too huge to handle.
On the third map, QC picked carry Bloodseeker and Void Spirit on mid. VG decided to pick Medusa and Invoker. On this map, VG themselves provoked the enemy into action, since they were on the timer and they needed a significant advantage before Medusa farm slots. QC play did not succeed, in some moments there was not enough damage, in some VG was just lucky. A few good counterattacks and Vici was ahead by 5k, another fight in the mid and the advantage was already more than 10k. QC managed to carry out one successful fight on bottom lane and kill Medusa, but that was not enough.
Vici Gaming 1 - 2 Evil Geniuses
EG who knocked Team Nigma out of the tournament continue to amaze their fans. This time they picked carry Outworld Destroyer, and for space took Broodmother for iceiceice and Batrider for Abed. VG played the usual combination of Storm Spirit and Specter. Abed, iceiceice and Cr1t- were able to create space for OD and gave him a farm, killing all over the map and constantly straining opponents. But in fights there was no save for Arteezy and he died. Apparently Storm Spirit and Specter were too good against Outworld Destroyer. EG heroes were losing relevance by the minute, while Vici Gaming was getting stronger. Specter got slots and, together with Storm Spirit, burst into OD, since other EG heroes had practically no damage after 30 minutes.
On the second map, EG decided not to risk it and took their usual Terrorblade and Templar Assassin. Vici picked signature Kunkka for Ori and Medusa for poyoyo. EG won almost all of their lanes, leaving only Mars. Subsequently, Mars was the first in net worth and made several successful fights for his team, seizing the advantage. VG were in the lead until the mid fight, where they made a great combo with Mars arena, Terrorize Dark Willow and Ancient Apparition's ultimate. But VG didn't have enough damage to kill EG heroes who survived, turned back and killed their opponents. After that, the team from America began to dominate, and TA net worth flew into space and was 12 thousand in the 18th minute. Final fight in the top and 1-1.
EG decided not to change anything on the third map and took Terrorblade again. VG decided to change Kunkka to Lina and Medusa to Faceless Void. EG won the lanes again, dominated and forced fights while TB was farming. EG showed an excellent level play and won all fights without letting VG take the advantage. EG killed the most important heroes of Vici and were able to survive despite Doom and Chronosphere. Having trapped the enemy at his base, Evil Geniuses took Roshan, were able to enter the high ground and finish the game.
T1 1 - 2 PSG.LGD
Despite the predictions, T1s were able to give a decent fight on the first map, choosing the strategy of playing through one core - Medusa, for which all T1 sacrificed their farm. In turn, LGD decided to play through two cores: Specter and Leshrac. T1 managed to bring Medusa to the top 1 of the net worth and she even outstripped Specter by one slot. But LGD draft had too much control, and all fights Medusa was kept uder control. The rest of the heroes were very poor and couldn't do anything about LGD.
LGD decided not to deviate from the working strategy and again took Specter and Leshrac, T1 picked Monkey King. Already in the early game, it was clear that LGD underestimated their opponent. The advantage was zero before the fatal fight for LGD at the outpost. Excellent Dream Coil by Puck was able to bury four LGD heroes and increase T1's lead. But after a few minutes LGD, thanks to an excellent initiation in Doom, were able to knock out Aegis and also killed four heroes. After that LGD had a great fight on Roshan and with the help of a few buybacks took Aegis. Waited for buybacks, LGD entered the high ground, but the T1 defense turned out to be too strong. After a failed attack LGD without a buyback on Axe went to fight under an enemy outpost using Smoke of Deceit. Axe was needed to jump into 23savage who was far from his team. But thanks to the excellent reaction, 23savage not only escape from Axe, but also killed him without a buyback. After that, T1 won the fight 5 vs 4. The LGD heroes had no buybacks and T1 calmly evened the score.
On the third map, T1 snatched Specter from opponents, so LGD picked Wraith King and a lot of control. Right from the start, LGD have been gaining advantages and winning fights. On the 16th minute, T1 tried to defend their T2 tower on the top, but in the end they lost the fight and three heroes. T1 won the fight at 20 minutes for the last time, where LGD lost Doom, Phoenix and Aegis on Leshrac. Next time T1 could not do anything and at the 35th minute they were forced to write GG. PSG.LGD in the AniMajor grand final!
